Käsitõsteseadmed, commonly known as lifting equipment, refers to a range of devices used to raise, lower, or move heavy objects or materials. These tools are essential in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics. Their primary function is to reduce the physical strain on workers and increase efficiency in handling heavy loads.

There are numerous types of hand-operated lifting devices. Hoists, for instance, are used for vertical lifting. They can be manually operated using a chain or a crank, or they can be powered by electricity or compressed air. Winches are similar to hoists but are typically used for pulling or lifting horizontally or at an angle. Pallet jacks are a common sight in warehouses, designed to lift and move pallets of goods. They operate using a hydraulic pump to raise the forks, allowing for easy transport of goods across short distances.

Other forms of lifting equipment include jacks, which are used to lift vehicles or heavy machinery for maintenance or repair. These can be screw jacks, hydraulic jacks, or even simple lever jacks. Blocks and tackles, a system of pulleys, are a classic example of mechanical advantage, allowing a person to lift a much heavier load than they could manage directly. Cranes, though often powered, can also incorporate manual elements in their operation or for smaller, more localized movements. The selection of appropriate lifting equipment depends on the weight of the object, the distance it needs to be moved, and the specific operational environment. Safety is paramount when using any form of lifting equipment, requiring proper training and adherence to operational guidelines.
