Kurvenpfade
Kurvenpfade, also known as Bezier curves, are mathematical curves used in computer graphics and related fields. They are named after French engineer Pierre Bézier, who used them in the 1960s for designing automobile bodies. A Bezier curve is defined by a set of control points. The curve starts at the first control point and ends at the last control point, but does not generally pass through any of the other control points. Instead, the shape of the curve is determined by the positions of all the control points. This makes Bezier curves highly versatile for modeling smooth, complex shapes. They are widely used in computer-aided design (CAD), animation, and font design due to their ability to create smooth, precise curves with a minimal number of control points. The mathematical formulation of a Bezier curve involves the use of Bernstein polynomials, which provide a way to interpolate between the control points.
