Kuormitustyyppeihin, or load types, refers to the various ways forces can act upon a structure or system. Understanding these load types is crucial in engineering and physics for designing components that can withstand expected stresses and prevent failure.

One primary category is static load. This is a force that is applied gradually and remains constant over time. Examples include the weight of a building's materials, furniture within a room, or the pressure of water in a reservoir. Another important distinction is between dead loads and live loads. Dead loads are permanent and unchanging, such as the self-weight of a structure. Live loads, on the other hand, are temporary and variable, including the weight of people, vehicles, or wind pressure. Environmental loads, such as wind, snow, and temperature changes, are also considered, as they can exert significant forces on structures.
