Kunstimaalide

Kunstimaalide is a term used in Estonian to refer to works of visual art created as paintings. The word combines kunst (art) and maali (painting), and the form kunstimaalide represents the genitive plural used in phrases such as kunstimaalide kollektsioon (collection of paintings) or kunstimaalide restaureerimine (restoration of paintings). The term appears in museum catalogues, art criticism, education, and media to discuss painting as a medium within the broader field of art.

Paintings encompass a wide range of genres and subjects, including portraits, landscapes, still lifes, historical scenes, and abstract compositions.
