Kosketusnäyttöpaneeli, often referred to as a touchscreen panel, is a display screen that can detect the presence and location of touch input within its display area. Unlike traditional input devices such as a mouse or keyboard, a touchscreen allows for direct interaction with the graphical user interface by physically touching the screen. This interaction can be done with a finger, a stylus, or other appropriate pointing devices.

These panels are a ubiquitous component in modern electronics, finding their way into a vast array of devices. Smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers commonly utilize touchscreen technology. Beyond personal computing, they are integral to point-of-sale systems, kiosks, automotive infotainment systems, industrial control panels, and interactive whiteboards in educational and corporate settings.

Resistive touchscreens, an older but still relevant technology, work by registering pressure applied to the screen surface.
