Korporaalit

Korporaalit is the plural form of korporaali, the Finnish military rank of corporal. A korporaali is a non-commissioned officer (NCO) who typically leads a small group of soldiers and ensures the execution of orders at the tactical level. In most armies using the term, korporaali sits above the basic enlisted rank and below higher NCOs such as sergeant. Duties commonly include supervising a fire team or squad, conducting basic training and drill, maintaining discipline, and handling routine administration and equipment readiness. The position marks a transition from purely enlisted duties to leadership responsibilities, with increased accountability and a role as a link between officers and soldiers.
