Konsensusin

Konsensusin is a term used in Indonesian-language discourse to denote the practice of guiding a group toward a shared decision through structured, inclusive deliberation. The term builds on konsensus (consensus) and is used to describe both the process and the goal of achieving broad agreement in policy, project planning, or community decision-making. In many usages, konsensusin implies deliberate facilitation and an emphasis on accommodating diverse interests while maintaining legitimacy and social cohesion.

The konsensusin process typically includes: stakeholder mapping; transparent agenda-setting; equal opportunity to speak; facilitated dialogue; proposal drafting with iterative revision; and documentation of the agreed terms and residual disagreements. It may employ tools such as citizen juries, moderated deliberations, or online consultation platforms. A key feature is an explicit attempt to translate disagreements into trade-offs rather than winners and losers.

Applications of konsensusin can be found in local government for policy deliberation, in corporate governance for stakeholder engagement, in civil society projects, and on online platforms for community governance. Proponents argue that konsensusin can build legitimacy, reduce resistance to implementation, and improve social trust.
