Klústerun

Klústerun is a type of specialized clubfoot deformity that affects young children, typically under the age of three. It is characterized by a specific combination of foot and ankle deformities that result in an abnormal shape of the foot and ankle region.

The most notable feature of Klústerun is a pronounced inward rotation of the heel, often accompanied by an outward rotation of the forefoot. This results in a noticeable varus deformity, where the heel is positioned more inward than the ball of the foot. In some cases, the foot may also appear webbed or partially webbed, due to the inward rotation of the heel.

Klústerun is a relatively rare condition, and its cause is not yet fully understood. However, it is believed to be associated with an abnormal development of the tarsal bones, which are the small bones in the heel region. Some theories suggest that Klústerun may be caused by genetic factors, while others propose that it may be related to abnormal fetal positioning during pregnancy.
