Kieltäjät

Kieltäjät is a Finnish term that translates to "deniers" or "negationists." It is most commonly used in the context of Holocaust denial, referring to individuals or groups who reject the historical reality and scale of the Holocaust, the systematic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its collaborators.

Holocaust deniers often employ pseudoscientific arguments, misinterpret historical evidence, and promote conspiracy theories to support their claims. Their views are widely condemned by historians and mainstream society as being based on falsehoods and often rooted in antisemitism.

The term "kieltäjät" can also be applied more broadly to individuals who deny other well-established historical events or scientific facts, such as climate change denial or vaccine denial. However, its primary association remains with the denial of the Holocaust. Organizations and individuals promoting kieltäjät viewpoints are often associated with extremist ideologies.
