Kenttäanturit, or field sensors, are devices used to detect and measure physical quantities in their environment. These quantities can include temperature, pressure, humidity, light, motion, and the presence of specific substances. They are a crucial component in a wide range of applications, from industrial automation and environmental monitoring to consumer electronics and scientific research.

The core function of a field sensor is to convert a physical phenomenon into an electrical signal. This signal can then be processed, analyzed, or used to control other devices.
