Kantojyrsintöjä, a Finnish term, translates to "stump grinding" or "stump removal by grinding." It is a method used to eliminate tree stumps from landscapes. This process involves using a specialized machine, a stump grinder, to break down the stump into small wood chips. The grinder's cutting wheel, equipped with teeth, rotates at high speed and is progressively lowered into the stump, systematically pulverizing it.

The primary goal of kantojyrsintöjä is to remove the stump and its visible roots, making the area usable for other purposes such as planting new vegetation, creating lawn space, or constructing structures.
