This means clearly defining how work is done at each stage, including criteria for moving tasks forward, defining when a task is considered done, and establishing service level expectations. Explicit policies ensure consistency and provide a common understanding for the team.

Finally, the fifth principle is to implement feedback loops and improve collaboratively, evolve experimentally. This involves regular reflection and adaptation. Teams should continuously review their process, gather feedback from stakeholders, and experiment with changes to improve their performance.
