Kalkik
Kalkik is a small rural settlement located in the western part of the Kurdistan province in Iran. It lies within the administrative boundaries of the Saqqez sub‑district and is roughly 15 kilometres southeast of the provincial capital. The village sits at an elevation of about 1,300 metres above sea level, surrounded by the Zagros mountain range. According to the most recent national census, Kalkik has a population of approximately 240 residents, primarily belonging to Kurdish communities. The official language is Kurdish, with Persian used for administrative purposes.
