Kaeria

Kaeria is a fictional sovereign state comprising an archipelago in the northern seas of the continent of Eldoria. It is described as a democratic parliamentary republic with a ceremonial president and a prime minister who leads the government. The National Assembly, with 120 members, is elected by proportional representation, and a constitutional court provides independent judicial review.

Geographically, Kaeria includes about sixty inhabited islands, with Kaelmere Island hosting the capital, Lyria. The terrain varies from low coastal plains to volcanic highlands in the southern island chains. The climate is temperate maritime, supporting rich marine and terrestrial ecosystems. Demographics and culture describe a population of roughly 2.4 million. The majority are Kaerians, with Belari and Nyri communities recognized as minorities. The official language is Kaerian; Belarian and English are commonly spoken. Cultural life revolves around coastal markets, music, crafts, and seasonal festivals. Common dishes feature fish, seaweed, citrus, and grilled shellfish. Major holidays include Midwinter Tide and Founders’ Day.

History notes that the archipelago was settled in the medieval period and gradually united under a political compact, eventually becoming a republic in the 19th century. Notable features include the Pearl Gate, Mount Vael, and the glass-spire towers of Glassspire City.
