Jääkiekkoilijan

Jääkiekkoilijan is the Finnish word for ice hockey player. It refers to an athlete who participates in the sport of ice hockey, a fast-paced team sport played on ice skates. Players use sticks to shoot a vulcanized rubber puck into their opponent's net to score. A typical ice hockey team consists of six players on the ice at a time: a goaltender, two defensemen, and three forwards (a center and two wingers).
