Johtosolukko

Johtosolukko (literally "conductive lock") is a term used in Finnish electrical engineering to describe a locking mechanism designed to secure a conductor within a terminal block, connector, or other termination point, thereby maintaining a reliable electrical contact. The device is typically integrated into the housing of the connector or placed as a separate insert and works by constraining the conductor so that it cannot loosen under mechanical stress, vibration, or thermal cycling.

Construction and operation: Johtosolukko parts may include a cap, clamp, or spring-loaded element that presses or clamps the conductor against a contact surface. Installation usually requires that the conductor is inserted to a specified depth and the locking element is engaged with a tool or by hand, depending on the design.
