Jogiland

Jogiland is a fictional island nation used in speculative fiction and tabletop role-playing. In most portrayals it is a maritime republic in the Jogian Sea, consisting of five inhabited islands and several islets. The capital is Jogaville. The official language is Jogish, with English common in diplomacy, and the currency is the Jogian dollar (JOD).

The archipelago covers about 11,000 square kilometers and has a temperate maritime climate with green hills, fjords, and reefs. The largest island is Northhaven; others include Southport, Windmere, Lakeview, and Highrock. Protected marine areas and early renewable-energy projects are features of the region.

Jogiland is depicted as a parliamentary republic with a ceremonial president and a prime minister as head of government. The unicameral National Assembly has 60 seats, elected every four years. The judiciary is independent, and the constitution governs civil liberties and the rule of law.

Economy is centered on ecotourism, fishing, and renewable energy, especially offshore wind and tidal power. It relies on imports for most consumer goods and exports seafood, machinery, and services. The currency is JOD; the economy is resilient but sensitive to weather and tourism cycles.

The population is about 1.6 million, with a density near 145 people per square kilometer. Official language is Jogish; English is widely used in business. The society is secular and educated, with high literacy and strong public-health indicators.
