Jagdpacht

Jagdpacht is a contractual arrangement in which the owner of a hunting ground grants the right to hunt on a defined area to a Pächter (hunting tenant) in exchange for a rent and compliance with hunting rules. The landowner, often a forest owner or a Jagdgenossenschaft, retains ownership of the land and the hunting rights, while the Pächter obtains (exclusive or non-exclusive) hunting rights within the agreed boundaries for the term of the contract.
