Izomtömegnövekedés
Izomtömegnövekedés, often referred to as muscle hypertrophy, is the process by which muscle fibers increase in size. This growth is a physiological adaptation that occurs in response to a variety of stimuli, most commonly resistance training. When muscles are subjected to sufficient stress, such as lifting weights or performing bodyweight exercises, microscopic damage occurs to the muscle fibers. The body then repairs this damage by synthesizing new muscle proteins, which leads to an increase in the diameter of individual muscle fibers.
Several factors contribute to izomtömegnövekedés. Progressive overload, the principle of continually increasing the demands placed on
The rate of izomtömegnövekedés varies among individuals due to genetics, training experience, age, and hormonal profiles.
