Intrångsövervakning

Intrångsövervakning, often translated as "intrusion surveillance" or "intrusion detection," is a security technology designed to identify and respond to unauthorized access to a system or network. This can include physical intrusions, such as unauthorized entry into a secure area, or cyber intrusions, such as unauthorized access to a computer network.

The primary goal of intrångsövervakning is to detect and alert security personnel to potential threats in real-time. This can involve monitoring various types of sensors, such as motion detectors, glass break sensors, and door contacts, in physical security systems. In cybersecurity, it can involve analyzing network traffic, monitoring system logs, and detecting unusual patterns or anomalies that may indicate a security breach.

Intrångsövervakning systems can be categorized into two main types: passive and active. Passive systems monitor and detect intrusions but do not take any action on their own. Active systems, on the other hand, can automatically respond to detected intrusions, such as triggering alarms or initiating lockdown procedures.

Effective intrångsövervakning requires a combination of hardware, software, and trained personnel.
