Iivitus is a fictional city-state and cultural region in a maritime world used for speculative fiction. Located on a cluster of islands along the eastern shore of the continent of Valara, it serves as a hub for maritime trade, shipbuilding, and scientific research. The name Iivitus appears in historical references and is commonly treated as a traditional toponym; its exact linguistic origin is uncertain and often considered a constructed ethnonym by later authors.

Geography and climate: The archipelago features tidal channels, mangroves, and multiple natural harbors linked by a network of causeways and aqueducts. The climate is temperate, with wet winters and dry summers, influencing architecture and harbor design.
