Ickeridae
Ickeridae is a family of spiders in the order Araneae. The family currently includes two genera, Ickerus and Ickera, with about a dozen described species. It was erected in 1999 to accommodate species previously placed in other families that share a distinctive set of traits. Members range from small to medium size, typically 5–12 mm in body length, and display coloration and patterning that help conceal them in leaf litter and understory habitats. Diagnostic features include a distinctive arrangement of eyes and the structure of the male palp and female genitalia, which differentiate Ickeridae from closely related families.
