ISOsertifikaatin, or ISO certification, is a formal attestation by an independent, accredited body that an organization’s management system or product conforms to one or more ISO standards. Certification is voluntary and independent of legal requirements, but it is widely used to demonstrate capability, improve processes, and facilitate trade. ISO standards are developed by the International Organization for Standardization, a non-governmental organization that builds consensus among stakeholders.
