INMM, the International Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards Organization, is a non‑profit professional association that supports the global community of nuclear materials managers, safeguards specialists, and policy makers. Founded in 1983 in response to increased international demand for coordinated nuclear materials protection, the organization offers a forum for the exchange of technical knowledge and best practices related to the safe handling, storage, and transport of nuclear materials.

The organization’s mission is to strengthen nuclear material safeguards worldwide by promoting rigorous protection, accountability, and verification measures. INMM achieves this through a combination of technical training, peer review, and publication of guidance documents. Its flagship activity is the annual INMM Conference, held in various international locations, which gathers experts to discuss emerging protection technologies, regulatory developments, and advanced safeguards techniques. In addition, the organization sponsors regional symposia and webinars to address specific national or regional challenges.

INMM’s membership includes nuclear material managers, safeguards analysts, regulators, and governmental agencies from more than 40 countries.
