IBCsäiliöt
IBCsäiliöt, standing for Intermediate Bulk Containers, are reusable industrial containers designed for the transport and storage of bulk liquids and semi-solids. They consist of a plastic inner receptacle, typically made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), encased in a protective outer cage made of galvanized steel. This cage provides structural integrity and allows for safe handling with forklifts. IBCsäiliöt are standardized in size, commonly holding 1000 liters, though other volumes exist.
The design of an IBCsäiliö offers several advantages. The composite construction of plastic and steel is durable
The reusability of IBCsäiliöt contributes to their environmental and economic benefits, reducing waste compared to single-use
