Hydraulisktservo refers to a type of hydraulic actuator that provides powered assistance to a control mechanism. It is commonly used in vehicles to assist the driver in steering and braking. The system utilizes hydraulic fluid pressure to multiply the force applied by the operator, making it easier to move heavy components.

A typical hydraulic servo system consists of a pump, a reservoir, a control valve, and one or more actuators. The pump circulates hydraulic fluid from the reservoir to the control valve. When the operator actuates a control (e.g., turns the steering wheel), the control valve directs the pressurized fluid to the appropriate side of the actuator. This fluid pressure then moves a piston within the actuator, which in turn amplifies the operator's input force.

In automotive steering, a hydraulic power steering system reduces the effort required to turn the wheels, especially at low speeds or when stationary. For braking systems, hydraulic boosters use servo assistance to increase the pressure applied to the brake calipers or wheel cylinders, resulting in more effective braking with less pedal force.
