Hublot

Hublot is a Swiss luxury watchmaker founded in 1980 by Carlo Crocco. The company is headquartered in Nyon, Switzerland, and is known for its Art of Fusion philosophy, which combines precious metals with non-traditional materials such as natural rubber, ceramic, carbon fiber, and sapphire.

Crocco introduced the brand with the first luxury watch to pair a gold case with a natural rubber strap, setting a distinctive early example of fusion in horology.

In 2004, Jean-Claude Biver joined Hublot as CEO of the watch division, and in 2008 the brand was acquired by LVMH. Biver led a revival that emphasized bold design and aggressive product development.

A major milestone came in 2005 with the launch of the Big Bang, a large, sport-oriented watch that became Hublot's flagship model and helped redefine the brand's identity. The Big Bang line expanded to include numerous materials, colors, and limited editions.

In 2010, Hublot introduced the UNICO movement, an in-house chronograph caliber, highlighting the company's shift toward proprietary movements. Since then, Hublot has continued to release in-house complications and collaborations, including long-standing partnerships with Ferrari that produced co-branded limited editions and timepieces.

As part of LVMH, Hublot operates a global network of boutiques and production facilities in Switzerland. The brand maintains its emphasis on innovative materials and design within the luxury sports-watch segment.
