Hozzáférésszabályozás, often translated as access control, is a fundamental security concept concerning the granting or denying of specific requests to obtain and use information and related resource management functions. It is a mechanism that controls who or what can view, use, or modify resources in a computing environment. This concept is crucial for protecting sensitive data and ensuring that only authorized individuals or systems can interact with certain assets.

The primary goal of hozzáférésszabályozás is to enforce a security policy, which dictates how resources should be accessed. This policy typically defines subjects (users, processes, or devices) and objects (files, databases, applications, or hardware). Access control mechanisms then evaluate the interaction between subjects and objects based on predefined rules. These rules can be based on various factors, including user identity, group membership, location, time of day, or the sensitivity level of the resource.

RBAC simplifies access management by assigning permissions to roles, and then assigning users to those roles.
