Hardverfrissítések, often translated as hardware upgrades, refer to the process of replacing or adding components to a computer or other electronic device to improve its performance, functionality, or lifespan. This can involve a wide range of parts, from internal components like RAM, graphics cards, and storage drives to external peripherals such as monitors or keyboards.

The primary motivation for hardware upgrades is to overcome limitations or obsolescence. As software becomes more demanding and new technologies emerge, older hardware may struggle to keep pace. Upgrading components can enhance processing speed, increase memory capacity, improve graphical rendering capabilities, or provide more storage space, thereby extending the useful life of the device and allowing it to run newer applications or handle more complex tasks.

Common hardware upgrades include increasing Random Access Memory (RAM) to allow for more applications to run simultaneously without slowdown, installing a Solid State Drive (SSD) for significantly faster boot times and application loading, or upgrading the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) for better gaming performance or video editing capabilities.
