Halbpaletten

Halbpaletten, also known as half pallets or half-size pallets, are a type of pallet commonly used in logistics and warehousing. They are half the size of a standard Euro pallet (1200 mm x 800 mm) or a standard American pallet (48 inches x 40 inches). The typical dimensions for a half pallet are 600 mm x 800 mm, though other variations may exist depending on the industry or region.

These smaller pallets offer several advantages. They are easier to handle, especially in confined spaces or when manual movement is required. Their reduced size makes them more efficient for transporting smaller quantities of goods, as they can fit more readily into delivery vehicles and retail display areas. This also contributes to better space utilization within warehouses.

Half pallets are frequently used for displaying products directly on the retail floor, a practice known as point-of-sale or in-store display. This allows for quick replenishment of shelves and can enhance product visibility. They are also utilized for the transport of beverages, food items, and other consumer goods where individual units are often grouped together.

The construction of half pallets can vary, with common materials including wood, plastic, and metal. Wooden half pallets are widely used due to their cost-effectiveness and ease of repair, while plastic options offer greater durability, hygiene, and resistance to moisture.
