HFC410A
HFC-410A, also written as R-410A, is a hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant blend used primarily as a replacement for ozone-depleting R-22 in air conditioning and heat pump systems. It is composed of approximately equal mass fractions of difluoromethane (R-32) and pentafluoroethane (R-125). The blend provides good cooling efficiency and is designed to operate at higher pressures than R-22, so equipment must be rated for these higher service pressures.
Environmental properties of HFC-410A include zero ozone depletion potential and a relatively high global warming potential
Applications and handling requirements: HFC-410A is widely used in residential and light commercial air conditioning and
Regulatory context: Many regions are phasing down high-GWP HFCs to curb climate impact, encouraging the adoption
