Grindspänning
Grindspänning refers to the stress induced in a material during the grinding process. This stress arises from the localized high temperatures and pressures generated by the abrasive particles as they remove material from the workpiece surface. The intensity of grindspänning is influenced by several factors, including the grinding wheel's grit size, hardness, and speed, as well as the workpiece material properties, coolant used, and the depth of cut.
This induced stress can manifest in different forms. Tensile residual stresses are often created, which can
