Gradientmuligheter
Gradientmuligheter describes the set of gradient-based strategies available to an optimization algorithm at a given point in the search space. The gradient ∇f(x) provides local information about the objective function, indicating the direction of steepest ascent and the rate of change. The gradientmuligheter include the choice of update direction and step size, from simple steepest-descent moves to more elaborate schemes that adjust direction or scale, such as momentum, adaptive learning rates, or quasi-Newton corrections. Conceptually, they represent the locally available options an algorithm can exploit to improve the objective.
Formal description: In an iterative method, updates have the form x_{k+1} = x_k + α_k d_k, with d_k
Applications and considerations: Gradientmuligheter are central to training machine learning models, numerical optimization, and engineering design.
