While most meningiomas are non-cancerous, genamengi specifically refers to a variant that arises from the genu of the corpus callosum, a structure connecting the brain’s two hemispheres. This subtype is particularly uncommon, with limited documented cases in medical literature.

The exact cause of genamengi remains unclear, but like other meningiomas, it is often associated with factors such as hormonal influences, genetic predispositions, or exposure to radiation.
