Fékterheléselosztás, which translates to brake load distribution, is a system in vehicles designed to regulate the amount of braking force applied to each wheel. The primary goal is to ensure optimal braking performance and stability by preventing wheel lock-up, especially during hard braking or when the vehicle's load is unevenly distributed.

This system is crucial for safe deceleration. When a driver applies the brakes, significant weight transfer occurs from the front to the rear of the vehicle. Without proper load distribution, the rear wheels might receive too much braking force, leading to skidding and loss of control, or too little, reducing overall braking efficiency. Conversely, the front wheels might be overloaded, causing premature tire wear or instability.

Modern vehicles often employ an Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) system, which is a sophisticated form of fékterheléselosztás. EBD uses sensors to monitor wheel speed and vehicle load. Based on this data, it dynamically adjusts the braking pressure to each wheel independently, optimizing stopping power and maintaining vehicle balance.
