Flerportsystem

Flerportsystem is a system architecture that provides multiple ports for input and output, enabling parallel connections and modular expansion. The term is used in several Nordic languages to describe devices or configurations where more than one port exists to connect subsystems, networks, sensors, or storage.

A flerportsystem is characterized by its ability to add or reconfigure ports without altering the entire system. It often involves a scalable backplane, standardized interfaces, and an addressing scheme that allows independent communication with each port. Depending on the implementation, the system may support centralized control or distributed routing and may include redundancy across ports to improve reliability.

Architecture and components
