In Estonia, the supervisory framework is provided by the Finantsinspektsioon (Financial Supervisory Authority), with cooperation from Eesti Pank (the central bank) on monetary policy and payment systems. At the EU level, regulatory development is shaped by directives and regulations such as MiFID II, CRD IV, and AML/KYC standards. Supervisors license entities, conduct audits, and impose enforcement measures, including fines and license suspensions.
