Felnyomás

Felnyomás, commonly known as "overprinting" in English, refers to the printing of additional text, images, or designs over existing printed material without removing the original content. This technique is frequently used in various industries, including publishing, advertising, and packaging, to update information, modify designs, or add promotional content without altering the underlying document.

In the context of printed materials such as newspapers, magazines, or promotional flyers, felnyomás allows for quick and cost-effective revisions. For example, a newspaper might use overprinting to correct errors, add last-minute news updates, or highlight special sections. Similarly, packaging labels may be overprinted to reflect changes in product information, such as ingredient updates or expiration dates.

The process typically involves using a transparent or semi-transparent ink layer applied over the existing print. This ensures that the original content remains visible while the new information is superimposed. Overprinting is often done using specialized printing equipment, such as offset presses or digital printers, which can apply precise layers of ink.
