An eyebolt is a fastener that features a circular loop, or eye, at one end and a threaded shank at the other. It is used to attach ropes, cables, or lifting devices for hoisting, securing, or anchor points on structures and equipment. Eyebolts are chosen by the load to be lifted, the material they are fastened into, and the environment in which they operate.
