Eristyksillä
Eristyksillä is the adessive plural form of the Finnish noun eristys, meaning insulation or isolation. In technical and architectural texts it is used to indicate insulation materials or systems that are applied to buildings, components, or devices “with insulation” or “using insulation,” for example in the context of walls, roofs, pipes, or equipment.
In construction and building physics, eristys serves to reduce undesired transfer of heat, sound, or moisture.
Common insulation materials outside of specialized fields include mineral wool, glass wool, expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded
Performance of eristys is typically expressed through metrics like thermal resistance (R-value) or thermal transmittance (U-value)
