Formal definition and semantics: An entitlement A depends on entitlement B if A may be granted only when B is granted or when B’s prerequisites are satisfied. Dependencies may also be conditioned on user attributes, resource state, or temporal constraints. The dependency relation is typically represented as a directed edge in a graph, with the direction indicating the prerequisite relationship, though conventions may vary across systems.

Applications and use cases: Entitlementdepends is applied in policy engines, entitlement orchestration, and access-control models to enforce consistent decision-making.
