Endoskoopilised refers to medical procedures that utilize an endoscope. An endoscope is a long, flexible tube with a light and camera attached to its end. This instrument allows medical professionals to visualize the inside of the body's internal organs and cavities without the need for major surgery.

The process involves inserting the endoscope through a natural opening in the body, such as the mouth, anus, or urethra, or through a small incision made by the surgeon. The camera transmits images to a monitor, enabling the physician to observe the area of interest in detail. This visualization aids in diagnosis, allowing for the identification of abnormalities like inflammation, ulcers, polyps, or tumors.

Endoskoopilised procedures can also be therapeutic. Small surgical instruments can be passed through the endoscope, allowing for interventions such as taking biopsies, removing polyps, stopping bleeding, or even performing certain types of surgery. Common examples of endoskoopilised procedures include gastroscopy (examining the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum), colonoscopy (examining the colon), bronchoscopy (examining the airways), and laparoscopy (examining the abdominal cavity through small incisions). These minimally invasive techniques generally result in less pain, faster recovery times, and reduced scarring compared to traditional open surgery.
