Einhells
Einhells are a type of financial instrument commonly used in Scandinavian countries, particularly Norway and Denmark. The term "Einhell" is a contraction of the German word "Einheit" meaning single unit and the Norwegian word "hell" a unit of currency. It is essentially a fixed-rate, time-lease investment where the customer agrees to pay a fixed amount for a cow with her calf, about 3 years old. The contract is similar to a car lease, where the interest is the difference between the sale price and the agreed-to buyout price of the cow and her calf.
