ESClike is a term used to describe behavior or actions that emulate the functionality of the Escape key on a computer keyboard. The Escape key, typically labeled "Esc," is a common key on most keyboards that serves various purposes depending on the context of the application or operating system being used. Its primary function is often to cancel an operation, exit a mode, or close a dialog box.

In software development and user interface design, "ESClike" behavior refers to implementing a mechanism that provides a similar canceling or exiting function. This can manifest in several ways. For instance, within a graphical user interface, clicking outside an active element like a modal window or a dropdown menu might trigger an "ESClike" action, closing that element.
