EMBL

EMBL, the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, is an international intergovernmental organization devoted to basic research in life sciences. It was established in 1974 and is headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany. EMBL operates a network of scientific facilities across Europe and pursues high-quality fundamental research, supports training and education, and develops and disseminates biological knowledge and tools for the scientific community.

Governance and structure: EMBL is governed by a Council representing its member states and is led by

Research and facilities: EMBL scientists work across molecular biology, genomics, structural biology, cell biology, and computational
