Dämpförmåga

Dämpförmåga, often translated as damping capacity or damping ability, refers to a material's capacity to absorb and dissipate vibrational energy. When a material is subjected to mechanical stress that causes it to vibrate, its dämpförmåga determines how effectively it can reduce the amplitude of these vibrations and convert the vibrational energy into heat. This process is crucial in many engineering applications where unwanted vibrations can lead to noise, fatigue, and reduced performance.
