Djúpblæðingar, also known as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), is a medical condition where a blood clot forms in a deep vein, typically in the legs. These clots can obstruct blood flow and, if dislodged, can travel to the lungs, causing a pulmonary embolism, which is a life-threatening condition.
