Deltafront
Delta front is the seaward edge of a river delta, the zone where deltaic deposits meet the open water body such as a sea or lake. It is the distal part of the delta that lies between the delta plain and the offshore environment, often submerged and exposed to wave and tidal processes. The delta front forms as sediment-laden flows from distributary channels spill into relatively deeper water, creating inclined beds and subaqueous facies that dip toward the basin.
The sedimentary architecture of the delta front commonly includes channel belts, mouth bars, and adjacent sand-rich
In geological and petroleum contexts, the delta front is a key depositional environment. Its sand-rich intervals
