Decoratorite products were popular in the mid-20th century as a more affordable and durable alternative to traditional wood flooring and wallpaper. The material typically consisted of a printed decorative layer, often mimicking wood grain or abstract patterns, topped with a clear protective wear layer, all bonded to a fiberboard core.
