Davros

Davros is a fictional character in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. Created by Terry Nation, he first appeared in the serial Genesis of the Daleks (1975). Davros is a Kaled scientist from the war-torn planet Skaro. During the Kaleds’ war with the Thals, Davros was gravely injured and became dependent on a life-support chair. He remains physically confined but exerts significant influence over events through his intellect and planning, most notably in the creation of the Daleks.

Davros is the architect of the Dalek race and its creed. He designs the Dalek mutants and installs them in armored travel shells, shaping a philosophy of racial purity and universal conquest. His doctrine emphasizes extermination of all non-Dalek life forms, and his ruthless ambition positions him as a persistent antagonist capable of manipulating civilizations and leveraging fear to advance his aims. The Doctor frequently opposes Davros, and their confrontations form a central thread in the Dalek story arc.
